This work is in collaboration with Marion Kuntz and Victoire Colliou. The project is the branding of our own fictive design studio named "Studio 0", in which I participated in the design of the logo, the printed materials and the campaigns.
We have observed in the French graphic design industry that mutations are common and the representation of women are often degraded, and that "gender" and "sex" are often mingled. In response, we created Studio 0, a multidisciplinary, progressive design collective committed to feminism. By feminism, we see not only redefining the place and role of women in the society, but also redefining the concept of "gender".
Our values are: equality, neutrality and boldness. We believe that no individual should be the subject of any prejudice, discrimination or abuse because of their gender or sex, that gender is not binary but a free choice, and we dare defend unconventional ideas.
Our main clients are organisations and companies who wish to convey feminism-related messages in their global strategy or in a specific project, as well as organisations that are already committed to these causes and would like to be accompanied by a creative team that shares their values.
We chose "0" as a symbol of non-binary, and we created patterns with the Möbius stripe which for us represents the fusion of femininity and masculinity, the fusion of genders. We used cyan and magenta in our identity as a recall and redefinition of the stereotypes of male and female.
Our campaign is in the style of street marketing, and we hope to convey a strong message about the problems of interpretation of genders in today's advertising.
I also designed a series of posters that could be printed as street posters and flyers.
